Hampton TSA Club

Welcome to Hampton's Technology Student Association (TSA) website. TSA is a national organization that fosters a growing interest among students in technological fields. Hampton is just one of many chapters across the country that participates in state and national-level competitions.

The purpose of this website is threefold: to showcase Hampton High School's technology program, to explain its TSA chapter, and to present research based on the design brief. This research was conducted on Geospatial Technology and its real-world applications. Included with that research is a timeline of significant events in geospatial technology's history.

A likely reason for the boom in the 1980s was the massive increase among consumers in personal home computing. This meant more people had access to computers, allowing some individuals to write their own GIS programs.
